It’s not often you find a restaurant with real “star quality”, but on entering the Copper Horse at Seamer you are surrounded by it.
With its beamed ceilings covered in news clippings and every wall featuring framed images of a host of stars of stage and screen you would be hard pressed to name a celebrity whose face doesn’t smile out at you.
And the theme pretty much sets the tone for the entire experience that is dining at the Copper Horse, a cosy and welcoming pub-style restaurant offering an eclectic and substantial menu created from the finest local ingredients.
If the surroundings are a feast for the eyes, the mouthwatering menu is a treat for the taste-buds. All the dishes are made from the freshest local produce, with everything from the pate and the pie pastry to the sauces and the salmon fishcakes all homemade on the premises.
A choice of Sunday roasts are available in addition to the main menu and a lunchtime ‘Lite-Bite’ menu offers sandwiches, salads and hot dishes from Wednesday to Saturday. Daily blackboard specials and a homemade ‘soup of the day’ are also available. To accompany your meal, there are a wide range of wines from around the world available at value prices. The Copper Horse is a ‘free-house’ and offers a selection of ales and lagers.
